Description
Did you know?
DNA in the nucleus is packaged into chromosomes that twist and bend to activate genes. They move close together—like a dance—to function correctly. These genome-themed paintings celebrate this dynamic quality of our genome.
Check out “Artist for Genomics” for more about my materials and methods to make us genome-literate. And for the science that inspires me, read about the Human Genome Project, “one of the great feats of scientific exploration.”
The image on the left is the “ochre-red-plum” design shown in the gallery (above). The image on the right is a “Swirling Helix” design titled “indigo-violet-ocean.” The unframed version of “indigo-violet-ocean” is available for purchase here.
